Kick ins Leben - training fair “JobGate”

The digital transformation with cplace has revolutionized the JobGate training fair. Automated data processing and the matching of applicants with training places enables more efficient planning and high-quality interview results.

Initial situation

JobGate gGmbH, a subsidiary of the “Kick ins Leben” foundation, offers over 1,200 school leavers the opportunity to have short job interviews with companies and other institutions that provide training twice a year as part of the “JobGate” job fair.

Challenge

Qualified interviews take place during “JobGate”. This means that the profiles of around 1,200 applicants must first be manually entered and then matched with the more than 2,000 training and study places on offer, including entry requirements. Only if a requirement profile matches the qualifications and interests of an applicant will an application or information interview take place. This matching process results in around 1,600 interviews during the recruiting fair, for which suitable time slots must then be found.

Approach

As part of a digitization project, the foundation opted for cplace due to its flexibility and short implementation time. In close cooperation with the implementation partner 4Soft, the parallel process optimization was able to access already implemented results in a timely manner and thus achieve a tailor-made solution in an agile manner.

When working with the platform, it is of central importance to record the diverse training offers of the individual companies in such a way that they can be automatically matched with the school-leaver profiles. At the same time, applicants’ data and interests must be stored in such a way that they can be matched with the companies’ offers. When a match is made, an interview appointment is automatically created. The applicants receive their personal interview list, while the participating companies receive an overview of the applicants who will be presenting themselves on the day of the JobGate.

In a second step, applicants and training companies will be able to enter their data into cplace themselves, without any time-consuming login and registration process.

Result

By digitizing the organization of “JobGate”, the foundation has significantly reduced its administrative workload for planning and running the training fair. The data is now recorded in standardized masks by the providers and applicants themselves. The comparison of the complex and varied entry requirements with the individual knowledge, skills and wishes of the applicants is carried out automatically via cplace. Various criteria can also be stored during the matching process to support different matching methods. In this way, the foundation improves the reliability and quality of contacts and reduces the error rate to a minimum.

With cplace, a central and scalable platform has been established that acts as a single source of truth and provides reliable information at all times. By digitizing the application process, “Kick ins Leben” or JobGate gGmbH can expand its range of support services in line with demand by evaluating applicant and offer data.

About the client

The “Kick into Life” foundation accompanies and supports children and young people with poor starting conditions from pre-school onwards – together with families, educational institutions and partner organizations. As joint and consistent actors, they enable children and young people to have the best possible path to a career: your kick into life.
